David Helfand/Beyond the Sea of Reeds Concert video April, 2024
Dear Friends,
A long time ago I offered my synagogue Temple Beth Israel in Eugene, OR the possibility of me performing my old album ” Beyond the Sea of Reeds ” live in its entirety with my band, David Helfand and the Majestic Ensemble.
This was the album that was inspired by me and my wife’s first journey to Israel in 1999. We performed our show, right before Passover in April this year. It was the first time it was performed live in its entirety in 24yrs. Our show was beautifully filmed and here is the link. it sounds really good on good speakers or headphones.
I thank my band members violinist, Tanya Bunson, bassist, Jeff Schenck and drummer Ron Dannenbaum for performing this show with me with all their hearts and soul. I would also like to thank our friend, Mina Wegner for her beautiful vocals.
