Memories of a magical tour

Dear friends,

As the great wheel of time has turned once more with the glorious fall upon us, I am cherishing my memories of our very first performing tour of Northern CA this summer and excited about our upcoming performances and recording projects.

Justin Lader and I performed a weeks worth of shows and were overjoyed with the reception we received in the Bay area and look forward to our next tour. Our very first performance was a very special house concert in Alamo that was truly an incredible experience for us. I am truly grateful for our wonderful hosts in Alamo. Our next two shows were in Santa Cruz at the downtown library and the Scott Valley Library. We had a wondrous time performing and loved the enthusiasm of our audiences.

We also had a very special time staying with my friend Tim, who so graciously put us up for two nights. I would like to thank one of our great supporters in Seattle who graciously offered to contact the programmer for the Santa Cruz library system, who booked us for the two wonderful events.

Our next destination was Santa Rosa where we played live and were interviewed on a World Music show called Crossing Borders on KRCB radio and played at a wonderful vegetarian restaurant called Gaia’s Garden. A big thank you to our host who also put us up for two nights and to Mary-Moore Campagna for the great interview on KRCB.

Our last show was in magical Mt. Shasta where we ended up playing in the courtyard of the highly atmospheric Goat Tavern in the shadow of the great mountain. We had a very magical night. Our good friends vocalist/penny whistle player Laura Berryhill and tabla player Anton Mizerak performed with us and helped create a very special evening.
